In this session, you will discover how to incorporate dance into Evidence Based Social and Emotional learning programs. You will walk out knowing how to develop a dance curriculum for your own location and have new skills, resources, and role models in your toolbox.

Celebrating community with site specific choreography/engaging community with flashmobs. 
In this session, learn how to tell the community story through movement inspired by the location's unique features. Learn the basics of bringing people together for simple and fun flashmob events.  

NOTE: Walk-in registrations are possible on Sunday, November 12th, but there are no guarantees that space will be available. Advance purchase is highly recommended as seating is limited. ​


Dance as Community: Dance Education in the 21st Century

Building relationships, connections and community in the studio class. In this session you will learn the value of improvisation that allows people to connect with others nonverbally. Learn practical tools such as mirroring, shadowing, partnering, weight transfer to set the tone for a congenial class environment where students feel accepted and have a sense of belonging.

Embracing and encouraging children's natural curiosity to create and move together. 
In this session you will learn how to incorporate principles of Body, Energy, Space and Time using Laban's Dance Alphabet with children, to engage young dancers across language barriers.
